The 365 Project: Day 37

I found this sign in Dublin highly entertaining. It's supposed to say SUSHI!, but this is way more fun.

Final Valentine

In case you were curious about the 4th card from Card Club. I {heart} this one.

The 365 Project: Day 36

More backyard overgrowth goodness. This section of succulents was looking pathetic by the end of summer. Glad to see it's making the comeback of the century.

Please disregard the crazy ever-growing weeds...

The 365 Project: Day 35

Abby & blurry photos--a match made in heaven! Good times at Card Club last night!

Stamping Challenge for Jordan

This Moxie Fab challenge was built for Jordan. Loving the fun card pictured here, crafted by The Stamping Bean.

Jordan--if you find a place with fun images, share it and maybe we'll make it a family challenge!

The 365 Project: Day 34

The final pre-Card Club sneak preview! Above is Card #3. Thanks to Mom for the idea! We'll save #4 so there's at least one surprise tomorrow night.

I'm also bringing soup. I'm a little concerned that it's not going to feed the 14 ladies I'm now expecting (!!!), but I'll just pick up plenty of garlic bread! This is the first time we've tried this soup and it turned out SOUPER yummy! And best of all, it's much quicker to make than most soups. Recipe found via All Recipes here.

The 365 Project: Day 33

What to do when Mother Nature gives you non-stop rain? Why, bring the painting inside of course! Raf started painting the base moulding...right above our brand new beautiful floors. Guess how well that process is going over with his wife?

Class

I think I finally starting learning something in class today. That's not fair. I've learned something everyday--I just couldn't figure out how any of it applied to real life. I think the problem is that I've been using professional photographs as the samples that I work from in class. So any changes you make are just making the image worse; nothing makes it better.

But today, after learning something about color balance, I remembered the photos I took of Cash's belly blankie in my car last week and how blue they turned out. So, I tried adjusting one...

The 365 Project: Day 32

What to do when you're exhausted and still have 3 cards to design for your Card Club on Thursday? CASE like crazy, of course!

For you non-stamp crazed people, CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything. In the SplitCoastStampers community, for instance, they have CASEing activities, competitions, etc. The idea being that you copy some elements of another stamper's design that you like, but also put your own spin on the card by changing it up a bit. If not for CASEing, I don't think I would have ever got as in to stamping and card making as I did. Most nights my brain is just too tired to come up with completely creative ideas on my own. But after 20 minutes spent browsing card blogs, I'm ready to go!

So, tonight the Macbook met the craft desk! A big thanks to Traci Gentry for designing the card I CASEd, and to mom for finding it! I'm one more card down, which isn't far enough, but I need to start adhering to a bedtime, so I'm off!

6 Months

Raf and I celebrate 6 months married today. Impressive, I know. So this is a shout out to the best husband ever--I love you, Bubba! Thanks for being amazing. Happy Halfayearsary!
