The 365 Project: Day 225

Say goodbye to the hall bath because demo started today!
Things I will not miss:
  • The nasty patched hole in the bottom of the bathtub
  • The toilet that has to be flushed twice.
  • The awful smell we're hit with daily while walking in the front door, that seems to come from inside the shower wall.
  • The yellowed fall leaf inspired linoleum from 1968.
  • The built-in vanity made from particle board and sporting no less than 18 coats of paint.
We're hoping that this remodel goes much more quickly than the last. We're not making any major changes this time (like moving walls, plumbing, etc.), we're just replacing the old and rotting with new and refreshed.

Plus Raf has all kinds of fancy new bathroom remodeling skills, so this should be a breeze. :)

My friend bought a house with a bathroom where the shower wasn't tiled. Instead, it had sheets of plywood with tile wallpaper on them. Oh, and the floor was carpeted. Needless to say, it was the first room she renovated. Good luck!

Ew. We've got it made compared to plywood shower walls!
